Story

The Problem:

The checkout process was long and inflexible, frustrating users and causing dropped orders.

The Solution:

I led a full redesign of the cart and checkout flow, collaborating directly with Caterpillar stakeholders and dev teams. We condensed the process into fewer steps, introduced inline editing, and added a live progress tracker all implemented within Blocks 3.0. I oversaw every stage from concept through development handoff, presenting key updates and rationale to internal decision-makers.

The Impact:

The redesign increased order completion rates, reduced abandonment, and received strong internal and customer feedback. It became a core UX model across the broader Caterpillar digital ecosystem.
